The Downingtown East High School Football Association, DEFA, is a non-profit, volunteer organization, dedicated to supporting the Downingtown East High School Football Team.
We would not be able to provide that support without the participation of our parents, players, and coaches.

Below is a list of parent volunteer opportunities that will be needed for a successful season. Please also download or print a copy of the 2022 Parent Handbook for additional information on how you can be involved.  Download and view a copy of the power point that was provided during the all-parent meeting here.

Parent Volunteers play an integral role in our Fall Season. The 2022 Fall season planning is underway and we're looking for your help to make it a success!


Listed below are areas where we will need your help!

Parent Coordinators
(Senior, Freshman))

Act as liaison with parents and DEFA to help provide communication.

Program Ads & Gold Cards

Assist with local sponsors and ads for the Home game programs

Team Camp

Assistance with morning & afternoon meals for players

Gold Card Blitz

Need for parents to drive players to sell Gold Cards

Picture Day

Assist with player line-up, names, and collection of order forms

Team Dinners

Create and plan menu for weekly team dinners.

Pre-Game Food

Pick-up & deliver coolers, power bars, Gatorade before all HOME games


Sell 50/50 raffle tickets, game programs and hang/remove team banners for all HOME games


All parents are welcome to attend. Volunteers to bring food, snacks, set-up tables, and trash

Team Banquets

Coordinate with DEFA for planning of team banquets
