The Downingtown East High School Football Association, DEFA, is a non-profit, volunteer organization, dedicated to supporting the Downingtown East High School Football Team.
We would not be able to provide that support without the participation of our parents, players, and coaches.

Fan Fest

April 18th, 2026 DEFA will host Fan Fest for alumni, current and rising family members and community members that support the Downingtown East football team. This committee supports the chairperson to deliver an outstanding fundraiser and night out for the community.

Cougar Kick-Off Family Night August 20, 2026. This is an exciting evening to kick off the season with Cougar pride! This committee will be responsible for organizing activities during the event and selling merch at the tent.

Team Camp

July 13-16, 2026 Team Camp consists of a team trip, and then 3 days of hosting other teams. DEFA provides morning & afternoon meals for ALL players. Join this committee to help plan food and volunteer your time during this memorable week.

Gold Card Blitz is on August 15, 2026. Extra drivers for Freshman players for the day of the Blitz.

Media Day

Chair: OPEN

Official team photos will take place on August 21, 2026. Assist with player line-up, names, and collection of order forms.Set up tables for lunch immediately following practice and before pictures. Players check their names for spelling & document Freshman jersey numbers.

On August 14, 2026, moms are invited to join their players for the final hour of heat camp. Come meet other moms and spend some time with your player!

Team Dinners

Chairs: Danielle Ellis & Erin Woodward

A tradition at Downingtown East Football is our team dinners. The night before every football game (home or away), the families of the Downingtown East Football program host the players and coaches for a "FAMILY" dinner. This Committee requires one representatives from each class to assist the Chairs to coordinate and organize the Team Dinner each week. Every dinner is a great way to get to know the players without their helmets, and to know the parents you sit with in the stands. A Sign-Up Genius will be sent each week requesting each week's additional volunteers in addition to this Committee.

Senior Night

Seniors will be recognized on October 30, 2026. We celebrate with a special ceremony before the game. Will need coordination for preparation before the game, and during the time where the seniors walk onto the field with their family.
