The Downingtown East High School Football Association, DEFA, is a non-profit, volunteer organization, dedicated to supporting the Downingtown East High School Football Team.
We would not be able to provide that support without the participation of our parents, players, and coaches.
Below is a list of parent volunteer opportunities that will be needed for a successful season. Please also download or print a copy of the 2023 Parent Handbook for additional information on how you can be involved. Parent Volunteers play an integral role in our Fall Season. The 2023 Fall season planning is underway and we're looking for your help to make it a success!

Act as liaison with parents and DEFA to help provide communication.
Fan Fest Planning
Help with planning and coordinating the annual event.
Program Ads & Gold Cards
Solicit local sponsorship for gold cards, program ads.
Assistance with morning & afternoon meals for players
Gold Card Blitz
Need for parents to drive players to sell Gold Cards
Assist with player line-up, names, and collection of order forms
Create and plan menu for weekly team dinners.
Pick-up & deliver coolers, power bars, Gatorade before all HOME games
Sell 50/50 raffle tickets, game programs and hang/remove team banners for all HOME games
Help with set-up and clean-up for the events
